Step into the 220-square-meter (2,368 square feet) penthouse apartment located in Milan, Italy and discover the House of an Art Collector. This beautiful dwelling was designed by Euga Design in 2018 with an industrial style, perfectly blending modernity and a warm, natural atmosphere.
The impressive ceiling was made with a special lime finish and its color was inspired by the Renaissance architecture of the Ca’ Granda. Moreover, to accommodate the collector’s antique paintings, a unique wall finish and a special adjustable ceiling spotlight system was created.

Creating a Haven for a Collector of Antique Paintings: A 220-Square-Meter (2,368-Square-Foot) Milan Penthouse
This penthouse apartment (220-square-meters, or 2,368-square-feet) is located within a 1950s-era building in a central area of Milan. The focal point of the design is the ceiling, which features a special lime finish. The color palette was inspired by the Renaissance architecture of the Ca’ Granda, with warm, natural tones.
Enhancing the Artwork: An Ad Hoc System
The client is a collector of antique paintings, so the project sought to enhance the works through specific choices. A special finish was chosen for the walls, and an ad hoc system was created to solve the need for displaying numerous paintings and to allow for rearranging. An upper black painted band was added, which conceals the air conditioning system diffusers, as well as rails with hooks to suspend the paintings without drilling holes in the walls. Lighting was designed with adjustable ceiling spotlights.
