Welcome to Twisted Detached House, an iconic two-story residence located in Indonesia. This house, designed by Phidias Indonesia in 2021, provides an exceptional combination of contemporary design and spectacular use of building materials and colors.

This 2022 designed house, with its majestic green roof, blends naturally into its surroundings, while the wooden skeleton of the roof and oversized lamp dominate the interior spaces. The L-shaped structure is open to the park, with large-scale glazing, and closed to the street and town with a series of stone-clad and solid masonry planes, leaving only narrow gaps and the double-height entrance door.

Nestled in a clearing surrounded by vast forests and mountains, Halwina was built with great sensitivity and according to old craftsmanship. Its traditional gable roof volume is intended to continue the proportions of the typical building form of the area, while its cladding and window openings break up its facade and make it more interesting.

The four-story building, with 7 apartments and a hipped roof, is clad with a natural spruce facade and designed in passive house standard.
