Discovering Mykonos: Modern Villas with Traditional Charm
Situated in Tourlos, Mykonos, these villas are a mere 200 meters (656 feet) from the beach. They boast stunning views of Chora, the vibrant Aegean Sea, and Syros. The design uniquely blends Cycladic architecture with modern details. This fusion creates a lively interaction between the buildings and their environment.
Inside Meets Outside: Seamless Design
Inside, the design flows smoothly to the outdoors. The spaces, while connected in style, have distinct functions. The challenging terrain and slope were masterfully handled. The use of white structures and local stone ties the communal areas to the natural surroundings.
The design team at DEZONE drew inspiration from the horizon’s blue line. This line, where sea meets sky, influences both the interior and common spaces. It adds depth and connects the design with the natural setting.
A Fresh Take on Cycladic Style
The villas feature a simple Cycladic style with a modern twist. Bold, minimalistic elements and natural materials stand out. Custom features like pergolas and unique furniture pieces are key. The blue line, inspired by the horizon, is a consistent theme. This design approach merges Mykonos’ architectural traditions with the needs of modern visitors, creating a balanced and inviting space.
