About Burnley House
Maximizing Space with an Above Ground Pool
We chose an above-ground pool to maximize the limited space of an inner-city block. This choice eliminated the need for separate pool fencing, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor area for the family.
Transforming a Worker’s Cottage into a Family Home
A full-scale renovation and two-story addition transformed a tired worker’s cottage in Melbourne’s inner east. The goal was to craft a long-term home for the family.
Creating a Functional and Light-Filled Living Space
The house now enjoys a smooth flow, particularly between the indoors and outdoors, thanks to the abundant natural light. The new design includes a functional kitchen with ample storage, catering to the needs of this busy family of four. The renovation and addition harmoniously blend functionality with style, turning the house into a cozy, family-friendly space.
