About Streamline House
Streamline House: A Symphony with Nature
Perched above a stream flowing over 300,000 gallons of water daily, Streamline House stands as a tribute to its surroundings. The design draws from the stream’s natural beauty, embodying the strength and grace of flowing water. The house’s shape, molded by the site’s runoff, creates unique architectural connections with the water paths.
Harmony in Materials and Design
The designers chose brick for its solidity and lasting presence. Its light hue echoes the site’s bright white limestone, and the brickwork resembles erosion by water. Corten steel walls contour the terrain, preserving mature trees and sculpting more functional outdoor spaces. Inside, the house boasts natural materials in neutral tones. Large windows invite abundant daylight and frame tranquil views of the outdoors. Brick accents inside forge a bond between the interior and the home’s external form.
A Home Inseparable from Its Environment
Streamline House shares an intrinsic link with the adjacent stream. This home, intertwined with its environment, is exactly what the homeowners cherish.
