About Clifton 301

A Dreamy Coastal Spot

Starting with their main vision, OKHA wanted Clifton 301 to feel both special and cozy. This two-bedroom apartment is nestled in a modern building crafted by SAOTA. Located near Table Mountain’s Twelve Apostles, it boasts a stunning view of the Cape Atlantic Ocean. As a result, the place effortlessly combines the vibes of a luxury hotel, a relaxed beach home, and an inviting spot for gatherings.

While SAOTA originally designed the building with simple, monochromatic rooms, OKHA took over the decorating phase. Additionally, they created some custom furniture pieces that fit perfectly.

Nature-Inspired Look

Under Adam Court’s guidance, OKHA decided to play with the apartment’s color scheme. Their goal was to contrast a serene indoor atmosphere with the vibrant outdoor scenery. “We opted for soft greens and nature-inspired colors,” Court explains. Consequently, the apartment showcases elements reminiscent of Table Mountain’s rocky terrain and local flora. Mixing woods, stones, and metals, and then pairing them with soft fabrics, they achieved a sense of quiet luxury.

Special Furniture with Local Touches

The furniture here is rich in texture, and diverse in materials. Court mentions, “Our approach to furniture was simple, yet we ensured bold shapes.” Furthermore, local Cape artists contributed art and decorative items, adding a unique charm. For instance, certain tables blend marble and granite tops with sturdy metal bases. And a standout mirror, made of dark wood, subtly hints at maritime themes.

Above all, Court believes the apartment’s true allure lies in the captivating sunrise and sunset hues visible from its windows.

Why a New Yorker Loves Cape Town

The owner, a New Yorker, holds a deep affection for Cape Town. Not only does he appreciate its natural beauty and recreational activities, but he also cherishes the local art, cuisine, and wine scenes. Moreover, he feels Cape Town offers superb value compared to other global destinations. He’s particularly drawn to the city’s vibrant community of creatives and professionals.

Praises for OKHA

In his eyes, OKHA nails the art of perfect design blending. He firmly believes in their knack for merging various elements harmoniously, consistently hitting the sweet spot.
