About Batel Loft
The Urban Refuge: Loft Batel
A young entrepreneur desired a haven from his bustling life of meetings. Thus, Loft Batel was born. The design concept is unequivocal: a compact apartment without extravagance. Yet, it showcases unique architecture, pure minimalism, and Brazilian design elements. The architect selected wood, concrete, and black as the principal elements, epitomizing the resident’s urban, contemporary, and minimalist lifestyle.
The Architectural Journey Begins
Upon entry, a hall unfolds. To the architect, it represents an architectural promenade leading to the loft. Natural freijó wood envelops this tunnel. Here, a lavatory discreetly hides behind a panel door. Beyond the tunnel, a double-height wall dons the same wood, elongating lines and enhancing vertical perceptions. It guides and widens gazes.
Functional Living Space
Every inch of the limited living area is meticulously designed. A plush, dual-purpose sofa anchors the space, serving as both a TV spot and a secondary lounge. Adjacently, the iconic Dora armchair, designed by Jader Almeida, beckons. These pieces offer varied experiences: relaxation, socializing, and urban landscape contemplation.
Integrated Dining Meets Modern Kitchen
The dining area seamlessly integrates with the living space, featuring dark finishes. The kitchen is compact, yet smart in design and finish. Replacing the conventional dining table, a black Corian meal counter optimizes space, catering to the resident’s true needs.
Contemporary Ascents and Retreats
A metallic staircase, set against a concrete wall and suspended by steel cables, evokes urbanity. It leads to the restful upper level. Here, sleep and city vibes merge, boasting leather and glossy black finishes. Lastly, a modern bathroom boasts playful lighting, perfect for reflection and relaxation.
A New Way of Urban Living
Loft Batel embodies architecture tailored for modern central-city living, showcasing original design and creativity.
