Rome’s Hidden Gem: A Transformed Apartment
Situated in Rome’s heart, this apartment has undergone a dramatic interior redesign. Today, it’s unrecognizable from its original form.
Prioritizing Natural Light
The project’s primary aim was embracing natural light. Thus, the corridor vanished, replaced by three glass doors leading to a spacious terrace.
Melding Ancient and Modern
Restoration highlighted the ancient building’s wooden ceilings. Decor now features sage green, subtly accented with gold and silver touches.
Reviving the Living Room
In the living room, where plasterboard once was, the space’s double height shines. A quaint office nestles beneath the wooden beams.
A Kitchen with a Vintage Touch
Open to both dining and outdoors, the architect-designed kitchen boasts a unique feature: a tile carpet, repurposed from the old apartment’s floors, embedded in the wooden base.
The Night’s Retreat
Two bedrooms and two bathrooms make up the night area. The master suite presents a unique design: its wall, short of touching the ceiling, uses iron and glass, ensuring continuous sightlines and ample light flow.
Elevated Outdoor Living
The terrace showcases a custom-made kitchen by Carola Vannini, complemented by a dining and living area.
A Tapestry of Warmth and Modernity
Warm hues combined with bold black details thread throughout, infusing character and warmth, yet maintaining a distinctive modern edge.
