After carefully observing the project’s spaces and historical context, our focus shifted to identifying existing valuable elements.
Highlighting Unique Features
Two elements stood out: the vibrant red “Doussie africano” parquet and the stunning altana offering private views of Trento city.
Bridging Spaces: The Apartment and Terrace
The design hinges on the connection between the apartment and its terrace, currently linked by an existing spiral staircase. The idea? Elevate this connection between these two levels using a staircase as the focal point of the living area.
Reimagining Spatial Harmony
This connecting feature serves as the living area’s pivot. It not only organizes the open space but also lays the groundwork for a cohesive design. This guiding line, through various modifications and compositional tweaks, strives for a unified ambiance.
