Seafront Apartment by Ernesto Fusco
Located on Amalfi Coast in Italy, this inspiring seafront apartment has been redesigned by Ernesto Fusco.

Description
We are in one of the most beautiful place in Italy, an ancient village of the beautiful Amalfi Coast.
Suspended between sea and mountains there is this apartment with terrace, with breathtaking views on the Mediterranean sea.
Everything is projected to have a unique space towards the sea.
A white and essential space, that don’t forgets the spirit and colors of the traditions.
From here comes the idea to bring in the project the most famous element of the Amalfi Coast; The “Vietri’s ceramic”, In this case, subverting the rules of tradition, become a ceiling covering.
The freshness and elegance of white linen fabrics, warmly of wood and the colors of the ceramics that gently overlooks the living, give a magical and exclusive atmosphere.
ENTRANCE:
An ancient compass in wood and glass that act as a filter between outdoor and indoor. On the left, a sculpture made with terracotta and marine sponge (by Paolo Sandulli) and the white resin staircase (Kerakoll’s warm collection) that leading to the terrace.
LIVING:
The TV wall with the linear fireplace divides imaginarily in two sides the space, dining and living rooms.
In the “dining area” we find the large table in tobacco oak, with rigorous lines that are part of a series of three pieces by ernesto Fusco for MastroCapellini.
The suspended sideboard that fixes and accentuates the centrality of the dining space is also made to the design of the studio.
On the wall an artwork from the collection “sediments 2015” by Angelo Accardi. The Arco di Flos lamp (designed by Castiglioni) illuminates the dining area. The white linen chairs, as the sofa, are part of Gervasoni collection. The square side table in mirror and steel are models by Maxalto collection, while the pair of round tables in black metal are the fat fat of B&B Italia.
Behind the sofa, the wooden sideboard, again a pieces designed by ernesto Fusco. On the wall behind the sofa “sand eggs on spoons coming out from the wall” is a particular artwork installation by the Italian sculptor Giuseppe Perone.
Chosen for their particular sculptural and timeless shape (soft as a ceramic) the radiators Milan by Tubes.
In the corner towards the sea The TACCIA lamp by Flos (always designed by Castiglioni).
Kitchen:
This space is also thought of as a clean and functional white box, a white broken by the blue of the sea and the ceramics on the walls that give a warm touch to the space.
The kitchen is by Poliform in matt white lacquered.
Living bathroom:
Walls and floors are coated in resin (Kerakoll warm Collection ), the white also extends to the sanitary Stone by Globo and to the TBT wall radiators by Tubes. Here the colors of the sea are taken from the collection of blue ceramics, also by Solimene.
The large natural oak shelf serves as a support for the washbasin designed by the studio.
The taps with clean and elegant lines are from the Via Manzoni collection by GESSI.
Master Bath room:
The suspended washbasin by Modulnova is fully made in stone. The emotional shower in this bathroom hides many small functions, such as
the EFFEGIBI access door that incorporates a system for the steam bath, while the GESSI shower head that with nebulization, chromotherapy and waterfall massage, make this small space a miniature SPA.
Master Bedroom:
In this always strictly white space, the only color notes comes from the fabrics that recall the ceramics tiles of the dome facing the room.
The bed in gray linen is from Gervasoni. On the wall a pair of “Juju” ceremonial headdresses originating from the Bamiléké tribe of
Cameroon, purchased by the owners on one of their trips. On the bedside tables the lamps are the Tolomeo by Artemide and the GloBall by Flos.
Terrace:
Projected towards the sea and completely covered in teak, the terrace is the essence of this house and its spirit.
Designed with a game of levels that separates the functions:
the beautiful kitchen island by Roshults, as in the interior, is positioned towards the sea. The dining area and the relax area are on the same level.
