The Quest for a Perfect Home
Their cozy Barcelona flat seemed to have everything: space, charm, views, and a prime location. Yet, she felt something was amiss. He’d often remark, “You can’t have everything.” However, for her, it wasn’t about having it all. Instead, she sought to pinpoint that elusive missing element.
The Persistent Yearning
This feeling pursued her relentlessly. Whether ferrying kids from countless after-school activities or casually browsing real estate apps, it lingered.
A Revelation at Girona Station
On a particular Sunday, returning from Girona, a realization struck her. Just as they bid farewell to her in-laws at the station, it dawned on her. Her home wasn’t lacking an ensuite bedroom, hardwood floors, or an open-plan live-in kitchen. Instead, it yearned for the warmth of grandparents. Her husband chuckled, “I don’t know any designer who can blueprint that.” They shared a hearty laugh and momentarily shelved the thought.
Destiny’s Reminder
However, fate, ever so sly, soon brought the topic back, flashing on his mobile screen.
