Parsley Health NYC by Alda Ly Architecture and Design
This inspiring 5,500-square-foot medical office located in New York, has been designed in 2019 by Alda Ly Architecture and Design.
For Parsley Health’s New York flagship, ALA deployed principles of biophilic design in a 5,500-square-foot medical office. Biophilia refers to humankind’s innate connection with nature, and data shows that integrating biophilia into the designed environment improves well-being. A reception desk fabricated from environmentally friendly materials points to a plant- and daylight-filled member lounge, patients travel to exam rooms via a hallway with a plant installation focal point, and lighting positively impacts occupants’ circadian rhythms. By mimicking nature in ways proven to enhance occupants’ mood and cognitive performance, this project augments Parsley’s holistic, preventative approach to healthcare.
