About Apartment Solaria

Milan’s Transformation: A City Embracing the Future

In recent years, Milan has been evolving, with new neighborhoods emerging and the city increasingly drawing inspiration from international designs. Some neighborhoods are transforming into vibrant centers of activity, such as Porta Nuova. This modern district boasts glass buildings and skyscrapers, rewriting the history of a part of Milan.

Torre Solaria: Italy’s Tallest Residential Building

At the heart of this architectural shift is Torre Solaria. Standing at 143 meters (469 feet), it’s the tallest residential building in Italy. A young professional couple chose this location for their home project, seeking to reimagine the interior and layout of their apartment in order to create a space that truly felt like home.

Hygge-Inspired Design for Comfort and Well-being

The couple requested a Hygge-inspired style, which is all about personal well-being, sharing with loved ones, and attachment to one’s home. The design team’s research led to a blend of warmth and comfort within a modern, contemporary apartment.

Upon entering the apartment, a small corridor leads to the living area, where the kitchen opens up to the space. Natural light takes center stage, offering a unique view of the city. From the outset, the design aimed to create interiors with warm finishes and a strong emphasis on functionality.

Custom Furnishings and High-Quality Materials

Warm oak wood, brass details, and black iron accents are used throughout the space, along with Calacatta marble in the kitchen and on the counter connecting the two areas. The furnishings were custom-designed by the studio, ensuring a perfect fit for the home.

A Cozy and Elegant Sleeping Area

The sleeping area consists of two bedrooms and two bathrooms connected by a spacious and bright wooden walk-in closet with mirror and iron details. The master bedroom features a stunning view, with wood continuing to be the focal point of the furnishings, all carefully designed and crafted. Quilted wood enhances the headboard of the bed, showcasing the attention to detail throughout the home.
