About Amara

An Immortal Residency: AMARA

Brimming with timeless elegance, the AMARA residence embodies the very essence of the Hindi term ‘Amar,’ which translates to ‘immortal.’ This abode, with its enduring allure, is the brainchild of 23DC.

Meeting the Multi-Faceted Client Needs

The client presented us with an intriguing challenge: crafting a living space that resonated with his eclectic interests and lifestyle. His passion for cooking, fitness, reading, podcasting, and his son’s piano practice served as a fountain of inspiration for our design.

Nordic-Inspired Décor: A Blend of Elegance and Functionality

Subdued tones, a touch of vibrant color, and a nod towards minimalism defined our approach. We set out to devise a comfortable, multifunctional living space, teeming with natural light and offering ample outdoor seating.

Maximizing Space and Light

Fewer walls ensured an abundance of natural light and an open, airy feel. Subtle shifts in color and texture delineated the various living zones, fostering a harmonious atmosphere.

Choosing Simple Elegance

For that Nordic touch, we handpicked furniture and décor with minimalist designs and clean lines. A tasteful blend of wood, leather, and linen complemented by colorful accents such as cushions and rugs added depth and warmth.

Illuminating Peace

We prioritized natural light to foster a tranquil setting. Every lighting fixture was selected for its effectiveness and aesthetic appeal, ensuring it didn’t distract from the overarching design.

Harmony in Detail

Details were our playground. Integrated patterns in the flooring woven throughout the space contributed to a unified ambiance. Repetition in floor design provided a consistent aesthetic, enhancing the overall visual appeal.

Balancing Interests with Aesthetic

Ultimately, our multifunctional design harmoniously catered to the client’s lifestyle and interests. The muted colors, Nordic furniture, and natural materials coalesced into an elegant aesthetic, amplified by abundant natural light and thoughtful lighting fixtures. Our design for AMARA proves our prowess in crafting aesthetically pleasing, functional interior solutions.
