About Daphne

Welcome to Daphne: A Salento Countryside Retreat

“Daphne” is a unique private villa, nestled in the Salento countryside. It’s surrounded by timeless olive trees and historic farm ruins, creating a picturesque setting. The designers reinvented Mediterranean architecture here, featuring striking white structures with special shading systems.

A Blend of Symmetry and Nature

This single-story villa is a blend of symmetry and natural beauty. Its standout feature is the concrete block lattice, shaping light and shadows throughout the day. Inside, the villa cleverly separates living and dining areas with a multi-functional wall. Large windows open up to the outside world, offering stunning landscape views. There’s also a master bedroom with its own bathroom and closet, another bedroom, a bathroom, and a laundry area.

Modern Touches on Traditional Materials

The villa uses local materials with a contemporary touch. Walls of tufa stone, floors of Lecce stone, and white plasters with soft lines enhance the modern feel. Minimalist furnishings emphasize the architecture’s simplicity. Designed for future expansion, a skylight in the living area is planned to become a staircase to an added bedroom.
