Set in a landscape of vineyards and wooded areas in the heart of Monferrato, Italy, Atelier Lavit‘s eco-lodge hotel, Lilelo – Little Leisure Lodge, is a village of four independent wood and glass cabins.
Designed in 2022 with an eye on sustainability and energy efficiency, the cabins blend perfectly with their natural setting offering guests a refuge that ensures privacy, while also offering the option of entertaining other guests.
Tucked away in the remote Lyngen Alps in Norway lies Aurora Lodge – a modern retreat designed by Stinessen Arkitektur in 2021.
With respect for and close connection to nature, the design of this project endeavors to complement the site, with the main building stretching out across the natural plateau and high ceilings and seamless glass walls inviting the sky and landscape into the building. Its outer cladding is made from Nordic Green copper and the inside is clad in silver-fir, with a hard brushed surface, softening the feel of the high ceilings. Along the path to the main house, a separate annex/suite follows the same design approach, and across the creek, the sauna sits as a separate building with its interior all focused on the view towards the sea.
Overlooking the pristine Great Oyster Bay and the imposing granite Hazard Mountains, the Freycinet Lodge Coastal Pavilions offer an unparalleled retreat experience in Tasmania’s east coast. Designed by Liminal Studio, these pavilions not only celebrate the scenic beauty of Freycinet National Park but also provide an eco-sensitive immersion into nature’s embrace.
Lush Tasmanian timbers and innovative design elements, like hammock-like balustrades, craft a space that harmoniously blends with its surroundings, reflecting both the spirit of Tasmania and modern design finesse.
