The Role of Landscape in Chinese Art
In Chinese painting, landscapes hold significant importance. Artists manipulate a single color of ink through its various saturations. The charm of the strokes reveals the entire scene. Similarly, this space uses ink’s saturation and lightness to create a layered, immersive environment. Elements of Chinese architecture, like window lattice and grey-white walls, mimic the scenery of traditional paintings.
