Revamping a Compact Living Space
Two young individuals desired a home filled with soft tones and gentle colors. We committed to making the apartment feel more spacious and brighter. Our strategy involved using specific materials, furniture, and lighting. Therefore, we turned to Scandinavian design principles for inspiration. This approach seemed perfect after assessing the room’s single, albeit long, window and hearing the clients’ concerns about limited natural light.
Smart Layout for Maximum Light
Our redesign divided the apartment into two primary areas: a bedroom and a combined kitchen-living space. To maximize sunlight throughout, we strategically placed a partition of glass and light ash wood right at the center of the apartment’s elongated window. Additionally, in the living area, we introduced a deep gray hue paired with bleached oak for a cozy and peaceful ambiance.
Beyond the Basics: Additional Features
The apartment also boasts a generous entrance hall featuring a large closet, ample storage space, and a bathroom. These elements contribute to the functionality and comfort of the home, ensuring the residents have everything they need in a stylish, well-lit environment.
By focusing on smart design choices and the effective use of light and color, we transformed a small space into a bright, inviting home that perfectly meets the needs of its young inhabitants.
