This renovation honors prewar New York architecture while adapting it for modern living. The reorganized entry foyer now serves as a central hub, connecting the dining room, living room, and bedrooms with large walnut open door frames.
Redesigning Spaces for Modern Functionality
We’ve transformed the main public areas to feature a spacious, open kitchen next to the dining room. From here, one can glimpse the living room through a small bookcase slot. Open, staggered bookshelves house the owners’ extensive library, a motif that continues into the master bedroom.
Upgraded Comforts for a 21st Century Home
All bathrooms have been revamped, and a new powder room now sits between the study and kitchen. With the installation of a new central air system, wood flooring, and energy-efficient lighting, this apartment is now a comfortable, contemporary family home.
