Description
This Baja modern residence, located in Chandler, AZ, is a 5,000 square foot new build incorporating organic, earthy design. With matte polished concrete floors, white oak cabinets, and Carrera marble countertops, this home is the perfect combination of simple materials. Hemlock tongue & groove ceilings add warmth to the space, complemented by a black floating fire orb in the living room and black anodized windows and doors. The indoor/outdoor stone walls were selected as a nod to the client’s roots and carried out to the negative edge pool through the pocketed glass doors. The kitchen is accessorized with black Brizo Odin fixtures, white oak cabinets, and an 18-foot island wrapped with Neolith countertops. A white oak floating staircase, leading up to a lofted space, and smooth white walls create a comfortable and inviting setting. Furnishing of the home, done by Amy Williams, includes a mix of old and new. Modernism can often feel very cold and sterile – this home ties in modern elements while keeping a warm, cozy setting.
