About Mokotów Apartment
A Student’s Dream: Interior Design in Warsaw’s Mokotów District
Nestled in the heart of Warsaw’s Mokotów district, an apartment has been meticulously designed to cater to the lifestyle of a young student. The primary goal of this interior design project was to create a spacious kitchen, a treasure for the student who harbors a passion for cooking. The result? A luxurious, functional kitchen, complete with a specially designed hood for effective ventilation (a must-have for any culinary enthusiast).
The Heart of the Home: A Kitchen for the Culinary Enthusiast
The kitchen, often considered the heart of the home, was expanded by combining the table and island, creating an effortless flow in the cooking area. Ample space was allocated for storing and displaying cookbooks and kitchen accessories, adding a personal touch to the space. This design choice not only values the student’s passion but also makes the kitchen a centerpiece of the apartment.
Living Room: A Haven for Relaxation and Indoor Greenery
Moving on to the living room, a projector was chosen over a traditional television, reducing daily exposure to the TV screen. This decision molds the living room into a versatile space, perfect for movie nights or presentations. Special hydroponic lamps were installed, enabling the indoor cultivation of plants. This green touch introduces an element of life into the room, creating a pleasant and calming atmosphere.
Softening the Austerity: The Power of Shapes and Colors in Interior Design
To counterbalance the austerity of the interior, the designers incorporated rounded and biomorphic shapes. An arch on the exposed concrete ceiling and rounded furniture pieces add a softness to the overall design. The color palette was kept in subdued tones, primarily focusing on earthy colors such as white, gray, black, and natural wood. These colors, combined with the natural textures introduced by ribbed tiles on the wall surfaces, create a beautiful harmony, making the apartment feel like a true home.
