About Renasci House

Introducing Renasci: A Sanctuary of Serenity

Renasci stands as a testament to elegant simplicity. Its compact, monochromatic design speaks volumes internally, creating a realm of peace and reflection.

Crafting a Haven in San Andrés Cholula Puebla

Designed for a mother and her two children, this house sits near San Andrés Cholula Puebla. Its core objective? To provide a sanctuary following their taxing emotional journey. As a result, the design embodies purity, offering a calming shelter for rejuvenation.

Navigating Spatial Constraints

Given the property’s dimensions and subdivision restrictions, the architectural program prioritized maximizing space. This challenge steered the design towards a compact structure, while preserving spatial freedom.

An Ode to Cholulas’ Identity

Rooted in Cholulas’ territory, mud naturally emerged as a signature element. However, the surrounding “residential” context prompted an alternative: volcanic stone. This choice harmoniously intertwines with local aesthetics while asserting a distinct architectural stance. Thus, volcanic stone, white tiles, and light form the house’s core materials.

The Artistry of Volcanic Stone

Speaking of volcanic stone, it graces the structure in three key areas. Most notably, a square, load-bearing lattice wall. Comprising rough-sided, uniquely-lengthed blocks sourced directly from quarries, it beautifully captures the essence of imperfection and beauty.
