About Penthouse PK43

In the heart of Krakow’s historical Jewish district, “Penthaus PK43” stands as a testament to the revival of an area once forgotten but now pulsating with cultural and social life. This new building, located at the district’s edge near the Vistula River, offers expansive views of Podgorze’s ancient church towers and modern riverbank structures.

Contrast by Design

The apartment showcases a geometric interplay of contrasts: raw concrete surfaces against the precision of smooth walls. Every detail is deliberate, from the flush skirting boards to the seamless material transitions.

The client’s love for raw, elegantly simple spaces directed the design, transforming sparse expectations into tangible reality. The existing apartment’s structure, with its reinforced concrete, became the focal point—cleaned, polished, and celebrated for its imperfections.

Imperfect Perfection

The project embraces the beauty of concrete walls and ceilings, contrasted with smooth plaster surfaces. The rawness of the concrete, with all its defects and unevenness, stands proudly against the precise edges of the plasterwork.

Details reign supreme in this space, shaping its character. The apartment’s meticulous design highlights the masterful use of materials, creating a home that is a living canvas of architectural artistry.
