About MRB Home

Transforming São Paulo Spaces

In the heart of Jardim Paulistano, São Paulo, Patrícia Martinez Arquitetura’s office masterfully revamped the MRB decoration project. Firstly, they integrated wood and an Art Deco de Boiserie touch to offer the owners a cozy living room ambiance. This room, in turn, flows effortlessly into the dining and home areas. Recognizing the need for both open spaces and private nooks, they strategically positioned dividers, ensuring a space that’s both clean and symmetrical.

Infusing Warmth into a Cold Base

Originally, the apartment showcased stark white walls and felt cold with its synthetic marble floors. However, by tapping into the bountiful natural light from a large street-facing window, they breathed warmth into the space. Furthermore, they carved out a dining area for eight, but didn’t stop there. They then shifted their focus to create a spacious home theater, relegating a more intimate space for social gatherings, all in response to the owners’ specific requests.

Design Meets Functionality

Behind the sofa, two unassuming dividers come into play. Not only do they stand as intriguing architectural elements, but they also shield the home theater, providing much-needed privacy when desired. Adhering to the owners’ minimalist preferences, they incorporated Peroba wood panels and honed in on symmetrical designs. Lastly, every furniture choice, from the cushion-free Etel upholstered sofa to the sleek side tables, underscores the overarching goal: a consistently tidy and inviting environment.
