About VH Apartment

São Paulo’s Architectural Marvel

Diving into the West side of São Paulo, our young homeowner sought the genius of architect Nildo José. Tasked with revamping the 160 m² (1,722 ft²) apartment, the goal was clear. A light-filled, charismatic space, ideal for gatherings, became the vision. Not just a dwelling, but a personal universe.

French Minimalism Meets Industrial Style

Inspired by French minimalism, Nildo masterfully blended it with industrial touches. On this neutral canvas, classic elements stand out. Remarkably, the building’s original bricks remain, now cloaked in fresh white. Meanwhile, the European oak floor gleams below, and marble adorns the bathroom, kitchen, and home office.

Luminous Living Spaces

Spanning 50 m² (538 ft²), the combined living and dining area basks in abundant natural light, magnifying the intricate joinery. Nestled near the window, the iconic Rio chaise by Oscar Niemeyer beckons. Additionally, a Tomie Othake sculpture graces the marble sideboard, becoming a focal point.

Balcony Views and Serene Ambience

Venturing to the 10 m² (108 ft²) balcony, relaxation and breathtaking views of São Paulo await. Conversely, the room’s muted tones craft a cocoon of serenity. Through it all, Nildo José’s hallmark—a marriage of robust textures and minimalist industrial lines—resonates profoundly.
