Description

Designed by architect Kobi Karp, this villa is part of the Sunset Islands, four man-made islands that make up one of the most prestigious residential enclaves of Miami Beach. The flawlessly achieved objective of the design was to create spaces in tune with the amazing outdoor landscape. With their refined style, the Minotti furnishing pieces selected by architect Felix Cohen together with Minotti Miami, have mixed elegant tropical taste with exquisite Italian craftsmanship.

In a green oasis, the villa, of approximately 650 sqm, spans both indoor and outdoor spaces that flow together in seamless succession. The freshness and exuberance of the vegetation and water that surround the villa are respectfully and harmoniously complemented by the contemporary furnishing pieces, and vice versa. The master suite upstairs, for example, alternates a sleeping area with an outdoor relaxation area, leading to the bathroom, styled and equipped like a spa. The Lawrence Bed by Rodolfo Dordoni, which personalises the wall with a large asymmetrical, upholstered headboard, is accompanied by the Lou nightstands by Christophe Delcourt in mellow shades of larch wood. Opposite, the Russell sofa by Rodolfo Dordoni, with the Torii armchair and ottoman by Nendo, create a cosy conversation area overlooking the bay.

A lift provides access from the third floor, a large roof garden, to the ground floor, the centre of the building’s social life. The way out from the interior passes through the professional kitchen, with central island and cantilevered top, to the first relaxation area, furnished with a corner element and a padded bench from the Freeman seating system, accessorised by the Gray and Calder coffee tables, all by Rodolfo Dordoni. The space occupied by the dining area is more secluded, but visually in contact with the greenery outside, thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows. Here, the Linha table by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 is accompanied by the Fynn little armchairs designed by GamFratesi. Continuing outside, the veranda offers two separate relaxation areas, one hosting the Freeman Tailor seating system and the other the Lawson sofa and armchairs both by Rodolfo Dordoni. Thanks to its sliding doors, the veranda looks directly on to the swimming pool and the outdoor living area, furnished with a selection of seats from the Quadrado system by Marcio Kogan /studio mk27 and with the Tape Cord Outdoor dining little armchairs by Nendo. Finally, the space culminates in the salt water swimming pool enriched, on one side, by a gentle rain curtain and a whirlpool tub. Around it, comfort is assured by a series of Sunray daybeds by Rodolfo Dordoni.

Immersed in tropical nature, the villa is a domestic oasis offering a sense of refinement and serenity in the alternation between its interior and exterior spaces, the wildness of the vegetation and the sophisticated modernism of its furnishing pieces and architecture.
