About Casa Levante
Puccio Collodoro Architetti’s Stunning Casa Levante
The latest masterpiece from Puccio Collodoro Architetti studio takes center stage on the spectacular Federico II waterfront in Gela (CL). This architectural marvel rises majestically above the splendid Sicilian gulf, capturing the essence of the region.
CASA LEVANTE: A Beacon of Beauty and Inspiration
CASA LEVANTE, the project at hand, offers unparalleled views of the city’s unique golden beach, a source of inspiration for many poets, including the renowned Salvatore Quasimodo. From the inside, the residence appears to float between the sky and the sea, providing captivating views of the city’s iconic architecture, such as the historic lido “La Conchiglia,” the former landing stage, and the rationalist town hall nestled in the city’s historical heart.
Harmonious Blend of Light, Color, and Materials
The designers meticulously studied the interplay between natural light, color, and material choices, with particular attention to the twilight hours. During this time, the fiery red hues of the setting sun bathe the rooms in a dramatic amber glow.
Living Area: A Symphony of Oak and Pastel Orange
Within the living area, subtle pastel orange accents mirror the twilight’s warm light. These accents blend seamlessly with the natural oak used in the flooring, furniture, and paneling, creating a calm, inviting atmosphere.
Kitchen and Laundry: A Masterclass in Contrasts
The laundry room boasts a lining of natural oak paneling that extends into the kitchen. This area contrasts sharply with the stoneware flooring, the cool white lacquer columns, and the large matte black fenix peninsula. The same black finish features prominently in the custom-made wall unit, where natural oak inserts provide a striking contrast.
The Comfort of the Sleeping Quarters
A large glazed sliding door, located opposite the entrance door, leads to the bathrooms and the sleeping area. Here, the guest and master bathrooms stand out, with sea-inspired colors and a matte black faucet in the former, and pastel green and orange hues in the latter.
A Bedroom with a View
The bedroom precedes a functional walk-in closet located near the front door. The bed area, paneled in natural oak for the floor and walls, absorbs and reflects the sunlight, particularly at sunset, creating a tranquil and serene atmosphere.
