About Lincoln Park Penthouse
In the heart of Chicago, something special happened on the top floor of a famous building.
A New Chicago Home
A long-time customer, who is a property developer, bought a space at the top of this building. Right away, he asked Ruth and dSPace Studio to help. They wanted to make this empty place feel like home for him and his daughter. The building was already designed by Lucien Le Grange Architects from South Africa. So, Ruth and her team came up with a simple, yet smart plan. They wanted to show off the big, open space and the great views of Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago.
Mixing Old and New
They started with soft white walls. Then, they added metal shelves and wood floors that have a zigzag pattern. Against these calm walls, the owner’s art pieces really stand out. Also, there are some old family items like an old piano. These old things look nice next to new, modern furniture. The end result is a penthouse apartment that feels both comfy and stylish.
