About Point of View

Welcome to “Point of View,” a contemporary mountain residence designed by Home Matters in 2015, located in the scenic surroundings of Whitefish, Montana.

Architectural Harmony with Nature

From the first glance, Point of View embraces its environment with open arms. The exterior boasts robust, dark-toned siding, punctuated by stone pillars that ground the home in its natural setting. Evening lights warmly welcome visitors, accentuating the careful craftsmanship of the wooden eaves and inviting balconies that promise stunning views.

A Walk Through Modern Elegance

Inside, the journey begins in a spacious kitchen where clean lines and natural light emphasize functional beauty. The open-plan layout allows for an easy transition to the dining area, where a sleek table set stands ready for guests. The dining area opens seamlessly to the living room, continuing the theme of space and light. The generous use of wood and stone throughout the interior mirrors the external design, providing continuity and flow.

Intimate Spaces and Refined Comfort

The private quarters do not stray from the design’s core ethos. Bedrooms offer a sanctuary with a blend of soft textures and a fireplace that adds warmth to the modern aesthetic. The bathrooms strike a balance between style and simplicity, showcasing unique wall patterns and well-chosen fixtures. Elsewhere, the presence of a grand piano in a room with floor-to-ceiling windows shows a dedication to both arts and the allure of nature.

Point of View is more than a house; it’s a testament to the harmony between architecture and the rugged Montana landscape. It stands not only as a work of art but also as a comfortable, livable space that respects and utilizes its spectacular surroundings.
