Designed for a young couple transitioning from city life, this house on Bowen Island embraces a mid-century aesthetic. Its design is in harmony with the natural environment.
Scandinavian Modern Interiors with a Natural Touch
The home features a simple shed roof, aligning with the bedrock’s natural grades and creating a spacious two-story living area. Wood windows and ceilings, stained with a white wash, impart a Scandinavian modern feel.
Under the main stair, we integrated custom storage solutions. The lighting fixtures are deliberately subtle, emphasizing the space’s elegant simplicity.
Unique Features Enhancing the View
At the client’s request, a large round window above the folding door system offers a breathtaking view. It perfectly frames a Douglas Fir tree and offers vistas of Keats Island and beyond.
