About Villa Tonden

Melding Villa Tonden with the Landscape

Villa Tonden effortlessly integrates itself into the surrounding landscape through three house-shaped volumes. This design softens the villa’s presence and creates distinct spaces around the property. The façades, curating diverse terraces, offer panoramic views of the enveloping fields and woodlands. These individual volumes yield unique interior spaces of distinct characteristics, further enhanced by the use of sliding doors, reinforcing seamless connections within.

Creating Unique Spaces for Living

The entrance hall, featuring a reading window, is openly connected to the main living space, ensuring a warm welcome. Oriented towards three directions, the living room follows the sun’s path, bathing in its natural light throughout the day. Two large glass sliding doors bridge the gap between indoors and outdoors, opening up to east and west-facing terraces. The visible timber roof structure draws attention to the heightened ceilings, emphasizing the grandeur of the space. Serving as the heart of the holiday retreat, the living room provides an inviting setting for family dinners or cozy evenings by the fireplace.

Comfort and Connection in Bedroom Spaces

The master bedroom is a private haven, featuring an ensuite bathroom and a large window presenting unobstructed views of the surrounding woods. The children’s bedroom, a comforting sanctuary, is highlighted by four built-in bunk bed nooks providing a sense of security amidst natural surroundings. Positioned before a large window, these beds offer views of the woods, enabling children to observe birds and deer from their beds. In addition to the ground floor bedrooms, Villa Tonden boasts two guest bedrooms tucked into the attic. Each features a skylight, perfect for stargazing or tree-top watching. Thus, every room in Villa Tonden offers a unique connection with the beautiful nature outside.
