About Casa Roverella

Nestled in the picturesque Valle d’Itria region of Puglia, Casa Roverella is a captivating house designed by the Vergati Creative Studio in 2024. Artfully blending with its natural surroundings, this project seamlessly integrates the indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a harmonious dialogue between the built environment and the lush landscape.

Crafting a Seamless Connection

Inspired by the majestic oak tree that stands as the focal point, the house’s design revolves around this natural element. The “C”-shaped plan envelops the outdoor spaces, fostering a sense of intimate embrace. The infinity pool effortlessly blends the boundary between water and land, while the ample outdoor living areas extend the home’s welcoming atmosphere beyond its walls.

Architectural Elegance and Textural Harmony

The interiors of Casa Roverella showcase a sober and minimal style, highlighting the pure forms of the architecture. Warm, earthy tones and natural materials, such as custom-made oak furniture and continuous concrete flooring, create a harmonious connection to the surrounding countryside. Carefully curated furnishings and decorative elements, selected in collaboration with designer Jared Green, add a touch of contemporary elegance.

Framing the Landscape with Intentional Design

The strategic placement of windows and the external staircase serve to frame the breathtaking views of the rolling hills, allowing the occupants to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty. The pergola-covered outdoor dining and lounge areas offer respite from the summer sun, while the external staircase becomes a sculptural element that connects the pool to the sky, inviting moments of reflection and relaxation.

A Timeless Retreat in the Heart of Puglia

Ultimately, Casa Roverella is a harmonious fusion of architecture and nature, creating a warm, intimate sanctuary that invites its inhabitants to lose track of space and time. This project exemplifies the power of design to craft a seamless connection between the built and natural environments, offering a timeless retreat in the heart of the Italian countryside.
