Blending Modern Design with Rustic Charm
Guided by a modern spirit, the design intentionally arranges spaces around a clear path—from the living room directly to the master suite. Additionally, another path seamlessly leads from the main entrance to the back terrace, and then thoughtfully circles back through a more private hallway.
Views, undoubtedly, played a pivotal role in the design choices. In fact, many of the most captivating views are positioned at the corners of primary spaces. For instance, from the living room, one can effortlessly catch a breathtaking glimpse of Mt. Saint Helena, marking the start of Napa Valley. Responding to this, the architecture cleverly blends modern airy corner windows with traditional rustic materials.
Crafting an Integrated Living Experience
As the project progressed into the design development phase, preliminary plans for the kitchen and baths began to take shape. Although not yet finalized, the incorporation of stone and cedar, both outside and inside, was decided upon early in the architectural process. This strategic decision lent a distinctive character to the forms, greatly influencing the home’s overall aesthetic. Subsequently, Jennifer Robin Interiors stepped in, weaving their magic. They meticulously selected interior finishes, fabrics, lights, and furnishings. Moreover, with the introduction of custom pieces, they truly transformed the structure into a warm, welcoming home.
