About Escape House

What Makes Escape House Special?

So, what makes a home truly special? It should reflect personal tastes and modern ideas. Plus, it should be a calm place to step away from the world’s hustle and bustle.

Building from Inside Out

This one-story house was built step by step, starting from its inner design to its outer shape. First, designer Alexey Churbakov and the owner sketched out the house’s main idea. Then, they gave that idea an outer shape, making sure no space was wasted.

Bringing Nature Inside

The house has a U-shape, which lets people see from one room to another across a green courtyard. Big windows pull nature right into the rooms. Every room gets lots of daylight. But interestingly, these windows only face the courtyard for privacy. The house’s outer look fits well with nearby buildings and doesn’t overshadow nature. Instead, it welcomes nature inside.

It’s All in the Details

A home should reflect its owner’s personality. In Escape House, the design is simple but thoughtful. It uses natural looks, avoids clutter, and has clever little touches. Like the hidden handle in the wardrobe or the tiny holes at the bottom of a closet for air. The choice of dark wood for walls pairs well with the lighter wood used for furniture. The study has a few cozy items, while the main living space is calm and relaxing. Thick curtains in the bedroom make sure it’s dark when needed.

Playing with Black

The house has a well-planned design, but there’s also room for trying out new things. Materials like a special kind of concrete add different textures and colors. Stone, concrete, and glass give a clean, simple look. Wood brings in some patterns. The bathroom has big tiles that are useful in many ways. Black plays a big role in the house’s look, balanced by the big windows showing green outside. For Churbakov, black is a favorite color to work with. The outdoor wallpapers on the terrace are a fun touch and hold up well in changing weather. The covered terrace has both a fireplace and a place for barbecues, made with a rust-free finish.
