About Boston Terrace

Nestled in the heart of Seattle, Washington, Boston Terrace is a harmonious blend of tradition and eclecticism. Designed in 2017 by Hoedemaker Pfeiffer, this residential masterpiece pays homage to the 1930’s California canyon aesthetic while catering to modern connectivity and comfort.

Embracing Heritage at the Threshold

A walk towards Boston Terrace reveals a serene façade where lush vegetation drapes over an arch, guiding one to the inviting entryway. A classical design with white-painted brick offers a whisper of nostalgia, seamlessly integrating with Seattle’s vibrant greenscape.

A Congenial Welcome

Upon entry, the living room beckons with open arms. Exposed wooden beams stretch across the ceiling, complimenting the traditional fireplace and built-in bookshelves that house a century-spanning art collection. Natural light floods through ample windows, animating the eclectic array of textures and materials.

Transitioning to the dining space, the narrative weaves in warmth through the interplay of leather and wood. A robust table centers the room, surrounded by vintage chairs, its surface a testament to gatherings past and future. The traditional touch is unmistakable, yet the room radiates a fresh, lived-in allure.

Culinary Craftsmanship

The kitchen stands as a testament to time-honored craftsmanship. White cabinetry contrasts with the terracotta tiles, while a curved bank of windows bathes the room in soft daylight. It’s a space that celebrates the joy of cooking amidst the beauty of collected ceramics and blooming flowers.

Adjacent to the culinary haven, a glass-enclosed sunroom serves as a botanical retreat. Wooden furniture and terracotta flooring continue the home’s earthy, inviting aesthetic, offering a panoramic view of the verdant surroundings.

The home’s design ensures that each bedroom is a private sanctuary. Wood plays a leading role again, with a slated headboard that commands attention. Artistic touches dot the room, ensuring that each waking moment is inspired by the beauty that surrounds.

Descending into the den, the mood shifts to intimate sophistication. Here, the curated walls tell stories through framed memories and artwork, while a plush sofa promises restful moments. It’s a room that encapsulates Boston Terrace’s spirit — deeply personal and effortlessly elegant.

As the journey through the house concludes, one is left with the sense of having traversed a living gallery. Hoedemaker Pfeiffer has masterfully transformed Boston Terrace into not just a house, but a narrative of time, tradition, and the art of living well.
