About House in Silvernails

House in Silvernails: A Cozy Family Home

The House in Silvernails is a beautiful, spacious home for a family. It’s nestled on a hillside on 120 acres near Rhinebeck, New York. This house works great as a weekend place and can also be a full-time home.

A Modern Touch to Country Living

The house looks like a modern barn and has a carriage house next to it. They’re set up around a field with a pool. The main house is big, with over 5,080 square feet (about 465 m^2). It has big rooms with timber beams and lots of windows to see the beautiful outdoors.

Inside the House

Inside, there’s a special staircase that splits the house into two parts: one for hanging out and the other for bedrooms. The lower floor has bedrooms and a living area with a kitchen. It also has big sliding doors that open to outdoor decks. The basement has a media room, game room, wine cellar, and more. Upstairs, there’s a big, bright loft. The separate carriage house has a garage, storage, and spaces for music and art.

Eco-Friendly and Built to Last

The house has an eco-friendly design with lots of insulation, tight seals, and special windows to keep it warm or cool. It also has shades outside to control the light and temperature. The designers thought about using local wood and stone to make the house feel warm and inviting. They also made sure you can see the beautiful views from many places in the house.

This house isn’t just pretty; it’s also made to last a long time and change as the family’s needs change.
