About Art Villas Costa Rica

Art Villas Costa Rica: Where Nature Meets Luxury and Adventure

Art Villas Costa Rica offers a unique retreat where visitors can immerse themselves in nature, unwind, and indulge in luxury and adventure simultaneously. Inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of Central and South America, the architects at Formafatal studio transformed the investor’s vision into reality.

A Majestic Concrete Villa

Among the villas in the Art Villas complex, the first to be designed and completed was a magnificent concrete villa, conceived by the talented minds at Refuel Works studio. As the planning and preparations were underway, the investor sought the expertise of the Formafatal studio for interior design solutions.

An Oasis of Space and Elegance

With its prime location on a 25,000m2 premises, the two-storey villa spans across 570m2 of floor area. The villa boasts a spacious common area, including a foyer, main living room, kitchen with a dining room, and a roofed terrace by the pool. Additionally, it offers five bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The basement houses a playroom for children, a gym, a dance hall, a walk-in closet, a laundry room, and utility rooms.

A Harmony of Raw and Luxurious Elements

Drawing inspiration from the untamed jungle surroundings and the work of Brazilian architect Paulo Mendez da Rocha, the interior design of the villa reflects a deliberate choice to leave the concrete walls raw. This complements the carefully selected materials, water features, and lush greenery, resulting in an extraordinary environment that balances roughness with luxury.

Timeless Elegance in the Bedrooms and Bathrooms

In the bedrooms and bathrooms, the floors boast ornamental cement tiles, handcrafted in Nicaragua. These tiles exhibit ever-changing patterns and colors, symbolizing the fleeting and unique nature of every moment. Each step taken within the villa becomes a catalyst for transformation.

A Kitchen Backsplash that Reflects Nature

A standout feature of the interior design is the hand-painted watercolor jungle motif adorning the kitchen backsplash. Acting as a mirror that reveals life beyond the walls, it transforms the wall into a window, offering a glimpse of the surrounding natural beauty.

A Fusion of Local Craftsmanship and South American Design

Art Villa, along with Atelier Villa, is predominantly furnished with custom-made furniture created by local craftsmen or manufactured in the Czech Republic and transported to the site. These unique pieces harmonize seamlessly with armchairs designed by South American architects and designers, creating a cohesive aesthetic.

Bringing Warmth and Softness to the Monolithic Interior

Teak wood, metal, and linen are the dominant materials in the villa’s interiors. Combined with custom-made furniture in soft pastel and vibrant colors, they breathe life into the raw concrete monolithic interior, infusing it with a touch of warmth and softness.
